US-Mexico Trip - Washington, DC

our last stop of this trip was to visit my sister, sue, bruce (and toby) in silver spring, MD (a 'burb of DC). we also caught up with aunt ruth, cousin cynthia and her family. art hits: we made a visit to the East and West wings of the National Gallery and the Phillips Collection. sue, bruce and i got out for a tennis hit on nice late october day... i made some copies of some old photos of us and our parents (included here).

US-Mexico trip - LA, CA

i stopped off in LA on the way home to do a tour of the Getty Museum - they had a nice docent walk describing the architecture... katherine left a few days earlier and got caught up in the Qantas lockout so ended up flying back to Oz just one day before i arrived.

December 2010 - A week at Sandy Point

katherine and i rented a house in a small coastal town here in victoria near a dramatic park called Wilson's Promontory.

we had a great time walking the beaches, hiking up Mt. Oberon, eating fish and chips and playing a few games of scrabble. although the weather had been cool and cloudy up to that point, we had beautiful days for the most part!
